RIDERS

A race team?  I don't think so.  Races are based on one day's performance on one course in the same place year after year.  What happened to the day in and day out riding of your favorite trail.  The endless pursuit of finding every trail in your city, state, region, country or universe?  Riding is where its at.  More can be learned in an afternoon on the trail than a year on the race course.  We believe there are hundreds of riders out there, maybe even thousands, who, on a given day could beat the course records held in their respective categories.  Yet they have NEVER set a stop watch to their riding.  Their limits are only the amount of light left by God or the batteries in their headlights.  You know who you are.  This page is dedicated to the greater vision of cycling and its continuing pursuit of adventure.  Here are a few of the chosen ones:

Ryun Noble:  X-XC geek, X-Roadie, X-DH Racer, X-BMXer now considers himself an "All-Mountain" rider.  He has ridden more miles in a year than most pro road racers ever will.  He has sacrificed more bones and exploded more parts then the bike gods could ever wish for.  Though the industry is continually chasing the latest fad, Flyun can always be found making things, lighter, stronger, better than ever though possible.  He is known for his horrendous crashes in world wide distributed movies yet has been acclaimed as one of the smoothest riders in the gnarliest of terrains.

Phill Davis:  Started with the vision of the ultimate bike in 1996 and has modified and ridden the same frame for more than five years.  Although this frame maintains the same basic form as it began it is a far cry from the original. Phill has orchaestrated a 12" travel monster that he uses to pound his will into any trail no matter how gnarly the going may get.  Despite cries of lunacy, Phill continues to ride his plush beast on XC courses as often as it sees Downhill.

Nate Ross.  A newcomer to the KPCREW, Nate has been converted from the world of hardtails to his current steed with a foot of vertical shock absorbtion.  He integrates an amazing style of trials, technical, and street thrashing to create a riding technique all his own.  Though from Florida, Nate chose to relocate to the jagged mountains along the Wasatch Front in search of the ultimate riding experience.

Stan Poorman.  Many a racer have wondered what blur has blown past them on their trails.  We'd like to introduce you to that blur.  Stan is probably the fastest old fart you'll ever meet!  His style and grace is outdone only by his ability to track a line no matter what may stand in his way.  One can only dream that we'd be going as huge as he does.

Devin Poorman:  Not to be outdone by dear old Dad, Devin reaks havoc on the same mountains as his pop.  A pedagogie of mountain bike and motocross films, devin has been known to dust riders twice his age.  Though a complete punk, Devin is truly an incredible rider..

Ruxton Noble:  Our token hippy longhair always in search of a better trail.  Ruxton has been known to skip weddings (taking the groom with him), disappear for weeks on end with no trace, and one of the few that is called by the BLM when they need to find the trails in any given area.  His scouting capabilites are compared to none.  He uses 4x4's, ATV's, Motorcycles, and Vasque boots to find the best and most remote places in our little world.  He truly is a human GPS.

Stacy Lewis:  You know that girl you always see?  The one in the SUV, vanity plates that say BIKRCHK, bike racks all over it and the latest full suspendy bike on the roof?  Well, gentlemen, her name is Stacy and as of last month, she is officially Stacy Schrieber and off the market.  Although we have lost all hope of ever finding that perfect girl for ourselves, her husband Tim assures us they are in it together and ready to play!

Bryan and Jeanie Budgemaier:  Best friends of the riding crew that were married a few years ago are expecting their first child early this year.  Jeanie is an adventure racer that is invited all over the world to push herself to the limit.  Bryan, an incredible rider, both XC and DH, is the brains to say what will and will not work.  As a Master of Mechanical Engineering graduate of BYU Bryan has forgotten more about structure then most of us will ever know.  He is also the one each of us have to use (sometimes involuntarily) for a seatpost tow to the top of the mountain!  They live in Texas and will relay their stories from there.
